Nancy L. Snyderman, M.D. combines an active surgical practice of Head and Neck surgery with her role as Vice-President for Medical Affairs for Johnson & Johnson, focusing on bridging the gaps in health care communication between consumers, business, and the media. She was elected to the board of directors of the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, being the first woman in the 100-year history of the board to hold an elected position. She has served as medical correspondent for ABC News from 1987-2002 and has been a frequent guest and host on Prime Time Thursday, Good Morning America, and 20/20.

Dr. Snyderman has reported on a wide-range of medical topics affecting both men and women, such as AIDS; colon, breast and ovarian cancer; heart disease; fetal surgery and prenatal testing; and osteoporosis. She has traveled the world and has reported from Russia, Eastern and Western Europe, and the Middle East, focusing on stories of medical importance. Her ABC News one-hour specials on alcoholism, women and stress, men and women's brains, and aging have sparked national debates. In addition, she presented a special five-part series on various aspects of plastic surgery, which was honored with the 1990 Journalism Award of Excellence by the American Academy of Facial, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery.

In 2000, Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Dr. Susan Love, the renowned breast cancer surgeon, and Elizabeth Browning, President of DuPont Consumer Health created a new company, Lluminari, a health education company that incorporates leading experts in women's health. Lluminari currently advises Fortune 500 companies on health care issues and contributes to a monthly column in Oprah Winfrey's magazine, "O."

Dr. Snyderman's medical work has been widely published in peer review medical journals, and she is the recipient of numerous research grants from the American Cancer Society, the Kellogg Foundation, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. She also has received awards for her medical broadcast reporting from the California Medical Association, Radio and Television News Directors Association, Associated Press, and United Press International. Nancy is the author of four books, in addition to writing a monthly column for Good Housekeeping magazine.
