Tim Watters - Professional Achievements

Will the real Bill Clinton please stand up? That's what you would say if former President Bill Clinton and Tim Watters were sitting in the same room together. Watters is an actor and Clinton look-alike whose appearance is so authentic that when Clinton speaks on television, his son calls the president "Daddy." Even the former President and Hillary Clinton were taken by the accuracy of his likeness!

Will the real Bill Clinton please stand up? That's what you would say if former President Bill Clinton and Tim Watters were sitting in the same room together. Watters is an actor and Clinton look-alike whose appearance is so authentic that when Clinton speaks on television, his son calls the president "Daddy."

Watters, a real-estate agent in Florida, says, "Not one single day goes by when someone doesn't come up to me and ask me if I'm Bill Clinton, or tell me how much I look like the president." He finds all this amusing, considering that it all started as a big joke around the office, about the time of the presidential election. "Everyday, I would return to my office and there would be another picture of Bill Clinton on my desk. I decided not to let the opportunity pass me by," Watters says.

Watters goes to great lengths to play his part. To prepare, he wets his hair and applies a gray mousse. He then blows it dry and uses a white hairspray for some highlights, his final look is extremely believable but he doesn't stop there. He dresses four to five people as Secret Service Agents, complete with ear pieces and sunglasses and has a limousine decked out with American flags on the front with the stereo blasting "Hail to the Chief."

"When I stop into a McDonalds, it really takes people by surprise," he says. His likeness to Clinton has garnered recognition on such shows as The Geraldo Show, The Maury Povich Show, Rush Limbaugh and at political rallies, conventions and meetings. He has also been a celebrity guest on a game show in Japan, performing stand-up comedy. Watters' is even learning to play the saxophone!

Additional Information

Watters' greatest satisfaction to date came at a political rally where Clinton was running late and Hillary Clinton was sent to greet the crowd. As she walked five feet in front of Watters, she looked at him and did a hard double take. Later, one of the presidents campaign workers approached him and said "I just had to meet the 'Clinton Clone.' " He also relishes the time he actually met Clinton. Watters was doing his act and signing autographs at one of Clinton's rallies, when suddenly, he came face to face with the president. Capturing the president's attention, they shook hands. When Watters said to Clinton, "I look just like you," the President laughed and said, "Yeah we do look alike, but you're better looking."

Watters' future prospects involve greater national exposure. He has appeared on The Tonight Show and in the film Naked Gun 33 1/3. He feels that his appearance also makes him the perfect candidate for talk shows, guest appearances on television sitcoms, commercials and especially at trade shows exhibits, conventions and meetings.

One should expect to see more of Watters in the near future. In fact, the next time you see Clinton on television, in the paper or at your local McDonalds, take a closer look - it might just be Tim Watters!
